It doesn't always look like this
The order block needs confirming first — a real displacement candle has to break clean away from it. Without that, there's no order block to propel out of yet.
Roughly the 50%, not exactly — the pullback candle just needs to land near the block's midpoint. It doesn't have to tag it to the tick.
Doesn't always leave a gap — the breakout above often does, like here, but a slower, more overlapping breakout can confirm the propulsion block without ever printing a clean FVG.
Often confused with a mitigation block — a mitigation block is defined by a failed swing structure elsewhere on the chart. A propulsion block is defined purely by its position inside an already-confirmed order block.
