Open a demo account and TradingView (step-by-step guide)
Click an underlined word to see what it means.
Before you risk a single euro you need two tools: a to practise and for charts.
Step 1: TradingView
- Go to tradingview.com and create a free account.
- Type the MNQ1! (micro Nasdaq) into the search at the top.
- Pick the 5m timeframe at the top left.
- Click the candles icon at the top so you see a candle chart.
The free version is more than enough to start.
Step 2: demo account
On TradingView click Trading Panel at the bottom and choose Paper Trading. That is a demo account TradingView offers for free. You can also open a demo with the broker or prop firm you plan to use.
Step 3: your first trade
- Click Buy (long) or Sell (short).
- Quantity: 1.
- Turn on Stop Loss and Take Profit and place them on the chart.
- Confirm.
Demo is not a game. Behave as if the money were real: same size, same stop, same rules. If you can't keep your rules on demo, you certainly won't with real money.
Congratulations, you have all the tools. In the next level you learn why the market moves at all.

Why do you start on a demo account?
Education, not financial advice. Trading futures is risky and you can lose more than you put in.
